Visit Norway (Nordmøre) and Sweden (Gothenburg).

This is the last leg of our Norway trip (Nordmøre in the North-Western part of the country), which we end with a short visit to Gothenburg in Sweden as well. The very peaceful and picturesque valley Sunndal is first up. We admire the steep mountain and river landscape and enjoy some self picked raspberries before heading for the mountains. At Aursjøhytta we have a light meal with waffles and a porridge (for use with waffles) which is a speciality for this particular region. We also visit a charming summer pasture mountain farm, where they make butter, cheese and sour cream. Sample: check!

The next destination is the coastal city Kristiansund, where we just stop to eat and take in the view of the boat-life before taking the ferry to the beautiful islands of Averøy. Since this video was made, this ferry has been replaced by a 5.8 km long and 250 m deep under-water tunnel connection. On Averøya we have our base at a Sveggvika Guesthouse,

and go for small trips around the islands by car to see more of the nature (lots of deer!), the Atlantic Ocean as well as the famous Atlantic Road (not much footage from that part, unfortunately). On our way home we make a stop in Kvernes to see Norway's only stave-church built after the Middle ages:

A bus trip from Oslo finally takes as to the beautiful Swedish city Gothenburg. Here we go sightseeing by foot as well as by boat on the canals, a guided trip which is highly recommended.
