Manila has been an amazing city to explore, but there is a whole other side to it which we were very excited to experience, the history of Manila!
We started our day by visiting Jose Rizal Park (Luneta Park) and learning a bit more about him and so many others like him who helped mould The Philippines so many people know and love! His influence on Filipino culture and the country itself are huge and this park dedicated to him is was a fitting tribute to such an important figure.
After this, we went to visit the 'Old Manila' - the walled city of Intramuros. We got to see some amazing architecture behind the walls, and visit some it's iconic landmarks such as :
• San Agustin Church
• Manila Cathedral
• Fort Santiago
This was a great adventure and a very different insight into Manila's history, we don't feel as many tourists appreciate this side of Manila and really hope people watching this video will be adding it to their itinerary for their upcoming trip to The Philippines!
