Scandic Grand Central is the perfect name for this hotel. It's a hub, like a train station and like the best grand old stations it has that faded glamour that people are so attracted to. In this case, however, it’s a very funky kind of faded glamour.

The hotel has become a meeting point in Stockholm; so much so that people these days queue outside in the morning waiting for the cafe to open.

Guest rooms are minimal in terms of design but done in a very Scandinavian way that nonetheless makes them cosy and filled with daylight.

Situated in the heart of Stockholm's centre, all the city's landmarks, such as the Concert Hall - with its modernist sculptures and fountain - are only five minutes walk away. For the visitor it's a city that offers many rewarding places to visit and lots of things to see and do.
